Happy White Day to all you lovers out there in Korea! For those of you who are not familiar with White Day, it is basically another version of Valentine’s Day here in Korea where the guy gifts the girl. Although most of us are content with just Valentine’s Day, Koreans really like to celebrate love by extending it to another celebratory day a month later!
So without a further ado, I would like to present to you “5 tunes for the lovers” that will go perfect with White Day:
Jack U (Skrillex & Diplo) feat. AlunaGeorge – To U
The ever-anticipated Jack U album is finally out and it sure does not disappoint! One of my standout tracks was “To U” featuring the sweet AlunaGeorge. I love how her sugary, angelic vocals go so well with Jack U’s harder style. This will give your White Day a little oomph. 😉
Disclosure feat. Sam Smith – Latch
The coming together of Disclosure and Sam Smith was truly a match made in heaven. It not only dominated the airwaves the past year, but has taken place in every lovers’ playlist. Do we really need further explanation?
Kaskade vs. Alex Gaudino – I’ll Never Dream I’m In Love
If there is one producer that can make you believe in love, it’s Kaskade. I have been a Kaskade since his early production days and it was his dreamlike tunes that attracted me to his style in the first place. The track was originally by Alex Gaudino, and Kaskade simply edited it by adding beautiful, ethereal vocals. This track sings all kinds of happiness and it truly makes me believe in love (yes, that sounds cheesy, but hear this song for yourself and be the judge).
Jeftuz – Girl
Sometimes the best songs don’t even need lyrics. Jeftuz’s “Girl” is a track focused on sexy, smooth R&B-like production instead of vocals. The subtle vocal loops is the cherry on top, and makes this track the perfect soundtrack to wind down with your lover.
Juventa – Only Us
If your ever planning on driving along the coast with your lover, this is the track to play. Not only this track already packed with summery vibes, it really makes you care about nothing else but the fact that you’re together with your loved one – hence the title “Only Us.”
